The Secret Place

Godly memory is the miracle magnet, attracting you back to your Father’s House. We must stay long enough in the secret place to create a memory. Memory is the gift of God linking you to your restoration. Memory is the catalyst for repentance.

You will only return to a place of pleasure. Satan cannot steal your memories. That was the secret revealed in the sensational return of the prodigal to His Father’s house. His money was stolen. His friends were gone. His self-confidence was shattered. But, His memories remained. You must stay long enough in the secret place to create a memory of pleasure, change and strength. If you leave to soon, before the Holy Spirit talks to you, you may become reluctant to return.

How long should you stay?

Stay long enough to change, for pain to leave and for love to emerge. (Psalm 30: 5)

Stay long enough for your hope to be birthed again. (Psalm 119: 81)

Stay long enough to recapture your motivation. (Philippians 4: 13)

Stay long enough for confusion to disappear. (1 Corinthians 14: 33)

Stay long enough to receive His complete plan for achieving your goal. (Jeremiah 29: 11)

Always exit the secret place with expectation. Nothing will occur today that you and the Holy Spirit cannot handle together.

Lord, I pray today that you will unleash a new passion for Your presence in my dear friends today. Schedule a visitation that will be impossible for them to ever doubt. In Jesus’ name.

Enthusiasm

It intrigues the world. It is almost a phenomenon. What am I talking about? An enthusiastic, happy person! There is something magnetic and powerful about a victorious Christian. People are drawn to a consistent, excited believer! How can you keep your spirit high in a down world? Believe me, you can. It is possible. Regardless of your family situation, your financial status, or past failures, you can step into a victory zone and stay excited about life.

Ephesians 2 : 6 says, “God hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” God intended for us to be ‘up’. He provided a plan to get us there: spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Stop talking about your lacks. Be thankful for gifts God has given you! Listen to a preacher who wrote one-half of the New Testament: “I can do all things through Christ…” Philippians 4 : 13. “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors…” Romans 8 : 37

To stay enthusiastic you need to have the right concepts.

Paul had the right concept of God.

Paul had the right concept of satan.

Paul had the right concept of people.

Paul had the right concept of himself.

The apostle Paul: God’s idea of a winner. And Paul stayed up… in a down world!

The Less Resistence, the More Conductivity

The more we yield to the lordship of the Lord Jesus Christ, the more we will increase the manifestation and the flow of the kingdom in our lives. We do that by faith. Faith is not just a matter of size... but a matter of conductivity. Faith is like an electric fuse. An electric fuse is small in size, but powerful because it connects the electric network to the power source. The electric fuse is able to do that because it is wired with silver. Silver has a great yielding capacity to electricity and therefore has a great conductivity to electricity.

The less resistance - the more conductivity, the more resistance - the less conductivity.

The less we resist God in our lives, the more we will see the power of God manifested in our lives. The more we resist God, the less we will see His power manifested in our lives.

How to Gain real Security

A sense of security is one of the greatest assets we can have. When we have it we become efficient and contented, without it we can lose our ability to function correctly.

The three traditional ways that most people try to find security are in people, places and things. Each provides a momentary security. But what happens when all three of these areas are either working against you or not there? We begin to feel as though the rug has been pulled out from underneath us. A strong emotion of insecurity begins to set in.

Why? Because security can't come from these sources, it's spiritual by nature. The fact is only in spirit will we ever be able to find security. In order to feel confident and secure we must have a secure spiritual life, which is why we must get close to God! Victor Frankl, world famous psychiatrist said that it was his observation that much of our mental trouble comes from the fact that "we have broken with the sense of the reality of God". We lose life's meaning; we feel a decline in well being. We feel hopelessness and insecurity.

How to Have New Energy

How we think we feel has a definite affect on how we actually physically feel. If your mind tells you that you are tired, the body, the nerves accept the fact. New research suggests that as much as 87% of all illness is psychosomatic; which means our thoughts make us physically sick. The research pointed out that negative thoughts of worry, fear and stress release chemicals which attack our cells from the inside out making us more susceptible to sickness. However, positive thoughts release other chemicals in our body that make us feel better and build our cells up from the inside out... (Deadly Emotions by Dr. Don Colbert). The Bible has said for thousands of years, "A cheerful heart is good medicine..." (Proverbs 17:22,NLT).

Jesus said, "These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full..." (John 15:11 NKJV). Joy is a freeing agent in our minds. Joy can make you feel better physically, bring back your creativity and cause a release of new energy. What are the things of which Jesus spoke that can bring a fullness of joy? They can be summed up in three words. Three words that meditated upon daily can release your personality and potential. What are these three words?
Faith, hope and love! Faith is the practice of trust, courage and confidence that your life is in God's hands and in His promises; to know God is working it out for your good. Hope, that the future is radiant. Love, to see everyone not through the eyes of criticism, but compassion.

Change your thinking, change your health.

A New York physician said, "People can actually die because they lose their enthusiasm. The physical organism cannot handle the mental attitude of uselessness." Another physician was asked to appraise the psychological advantages of optimism over depression. "Depressive thoughts, habitually held, increase the possibility of infection by at least 10 fold. Optimism, real faith and enthusiasm taken together are powerful agents in burning out infection. I have noticed that people who maintain a confident attitude show greater healing power in the presence of sickness and disease. Enthusiasm is one of the greatest sources of health."

This simply validates these wise sayings of the Bible, "A merry heart does good like medicine" and "A merry heart is a continual feast."

The Joy of Walking with Christ

How many times has the Lord said, “Yield up the pieces, the scraps, the leftovers of your life. All you’ve got is all I need to make a mountain from your molehill of faith”?

He said that through Elisha to a woman who came to the prophet in great distress. Her sons were about to be sold into slavery as a settlement for her late husband’s debts. The widow had one small container of oil, nothing else of value. “Gather up all of your empty vessels, whatever old pots and pitchers you can find or borrow,” the prophet commanded, “and begin to fill them with oil.” The widow did as she was bid, and she found to her amazement that there was enough oil to fill every vessel, enough to pay the debt and keep her family for life.

God stands ready to transform all that we offer (when it is all that we have) into all that we need.

Association brings Manifestation

The secret of Joshua was his association with Moses. The secret of the double-portion anointing on Elisha was his relationship with Elijah. The secret of Samuel was his association with Eli. The secret of Timothy was his association with Paul. The secret of the 12 unlearned men who turned the world upside down was their association with Jesus.

Association Brings Manifestation!

Some people have negative and pessimistic faith. They have the full assurance that no matter what you try, you will fail. Other people have faith in God and believe that you can receive your miracle. There are dream killers and dream makers. You need to know who they are in your life. You need to shift some people out, and shift some people in by adding or removing people in your relationship circle. When you need a miracle from God, the people around you can influence your life positively are negatively.

Pockets of Poison

The minds of so many are filled with pockets of poison. The poison then flows out of these pockets can affect the whole personality until we become what we dislike. Not only is our personality affected but the entirety of our being. It can make our hands tremble, our heart to beat more rapidly, blood pressure to rise, increasing stress and tension.

What are these pockets of poison that so disrupt life? They are a mass of ill thoughts that have been stored up over the years, all the regrets, all the hidden sins, all the hates, all the grudges, all the vindictiveness. Since our minds were not constructed to handle such thinking they begin to break under the load. We find ourselves trying to escape what we are feeling, but there can be no escape, no peace of mind until we empty out these toxic poisons through confession and cleansing that can come only from God.

So how can this be accomplished? It amazes me how we clean and care for our bodies, our homes and cars but neglect the most important, our minds. We need to form the daily habit of mental cleansing. Remove from your mind all of these pockets of poison then fill your thoughts with the curative thoughts of Jesus. Feel His thoughts filling your mind with faith, hope, love, joy, vitality, energy and excitement.

What makes you Upset?

There are many things that upset us, such as making a foolish mistake, facing an unexpected blast of anger from someone, having our day interrupted by time consuming situations that seem minor. But what really upsets all of us is having our motives questioned or misinterpreted and at the same time being criticized by those around us. All of us to a degree or more have faced this. The question is what can we or what should we do when we feel our motives and actions are being called into question?

First, agree with your critics. If you agree with them what more can they say? By agreeing you remove them as your critic. Remember the tendency is to argue back and create self justification which blurs your judgment. Their criticism is their perception of what happens; by you agreeing with them will cause them to see it different.

Second, make yourself become analytical and objective. This will extract the heat out of your emotions, cool you down so your attitudes can be normal and your mind will think clear.

How do you become analytical and objective? Go through four questions:

1) Is it true or false?

2) Who said it?

3) Is their opinion of any value?

4) Are they an honest or a prejudiced critic?

Lastly, Matthew 5:44 - Love, bless, do good and pray for them. These four actions will reverse your emotions and often reverse the situation.
